Correct balancing is essential for acceptable performance and is carried out on all machines before they leave our workshops. An on-site balancing machine, the IRD 246, is used by our field staff to check and balance machines on site. Condition Based Monitoring identifies rotor unbalance, misalignment, mechanical looseness, eccentric rotor, belt drive problems, gear problems, resonance, bent shaft, rotor rub, bearing problems and induction motor issues.

By means of periodic testing, the normal degradation process can be monitored. The early warning usually provides ample time to repair or replace before motor failure occurs.
